Ivy League Yacht Race off the coast of Herzelia. Each University will have its own yacht stocked with champagne. To participate please register for your university's boat with:

Observer \ Leisure Boat – Still Spots to Join with drinks, champagne and comfortable seating – it’s a catamaran with hammock style deck in the front to lie around and living room-like seating in the cabin and on the back deck.
All Ivy Alumni and spouses are welcome to join the observer \ leisure boat which will be a mix of the overflow from all the schools. To register for the observer boat please send a check for NIS150 made out to Dov Hoch: Dov Hoch; 2 Moshe Sneh Street, Ra’anana. After you send the check, please confirm your spot by email: dovhoch@clarityholdings.com


We will gather at the Sea Gal Yacht Club in the Herzelia Marina at 5:30 pm June 18th for a ten minute Yachting 101 course and learn the rules of the race. Each University will then man their boat and plan race tactics with its own professional skipper. After the race we will drink champagne and swim off the boats until sunset. Then have a BBQ dinner (Kosher), dancing and drinks overlooking the marina at the Yacht Club - which is reserved until 1:00 am exclusively for our group.

Sea Gal Yacht Club: 09-956-7777 www.sea-gal.co.il Located in the middle the stripe of restaurants on the South end of the Marina starting at Medzzo walk towards the end, Sea Gal is after Benny HaDagyag. Parking under the Arena Mall (free) or in the outside lot South of the mall. We cast off at 6:00 pm – so you MUST arrive at 5:30 in order to learn the ropes; find your team and get to your boat.

Time Table:

5:30 – Sea Gal Yacht Club – Meet your skipper; Yachting 101 & Rules of the race

5:45 – Man your University boat; raise your school colors & plan race tactics

6:00 – Cast-off

8:00 – Winner’s Trophy awarded at The Sea Gal Yacht Club.

8:15 - Dinner at The Sea Gal Yacht Club - just opened, private club/ lounge with living-room style outdoor seating – we reserved the entire club for our group. BBQ, salads, soft drinks and a cash bar. (Kosher catering by Snobar in Kfar Saba; kosher questions to Chaim 054-8108648) Cost for dinner is NIS100 cash at the door - All Ivy Israel alumni and spouses are welcome to dinner – even if do not participate in the race. (MUST RSVP for dinner through your university’s boat coordinator by June 14th – to find your boat coordinator see www.pennclubofisrael.com)

9:30 - Dancing Drinks and Drinking at The Sea Gal Yacht Club - all Ivy Israel alumni and spouses are welcome. Private club reserved exclusively for our group; cash bar – outdoor comfortable seating on the marina \cigar smoking.

Things to Bring:

University Flags to fly your school colors
CD with your University fight songs - there are CDs players on the boats
Bathing suit and towel - if you want to swim off the boats after the race
You an bring snacks each boat will have a fridge with soft drinks and champagne
Anything you have to keep Yale from winning again
NIS100 cash for dinner
